The shoe’s 4D GUIDANCE SYSTEM™ technology is a revolutionary stability system that will help steady your stride on your run, but that doesn’t mean that they’ve compromised on comfort. In fact, the pairing of our new PureGEL™ technology and soft FF BLAST™ PLUS ECO foam means you’ll experience incredible comfort each time you hit the road.

This shoe is designed with your protection and comfort in mind - Asics spent hours testing and perfecting it at our Institute of Sports Science (ISS) in Japan. The GEL-KAYANO™ 30 running shoe includes additional technical features to support you during your runs, which you’ll find listed under ‘Features’ below.

Features

Pronation: Designed For Neutral / Overpronation

Neutral: See left image.
Foot Type: Normal size arches
Push Off: There is even distribution from the front of the foot.
How your foot contacts the ground: The foot lands on outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight.

Overpronation: See right image.
Foot Type: Low arches or flat feet
Push Off: Big toe and second toe do majority of the work.
How your foot contacts the ground: The foot lands on outside of heel, then rolls inward (pronates) excessively, transferring weight to inner edge instead of ball of the foot.
4D GUIDANCE SYSTEM technology: Consists of four distinct components designed to support the foot each time it hits the ground for ultimate stability.
PureGEL technology: Improves softness and shock absorption to reduce impact.
FF BLAST PLUS ECO foam: Helps provide ultimate comfort.
OrthoLite X-55 sockliner: Improves comfort and helps with moisture management.
Reflective details: Helps improve visibility during low-light conditions.
AHARPLUS outsole rubber: Ensures maximum durability.
Engineered stretch knit upper: Hugs the foot for added support and improves breathability to help keep feet cool during runs for added comfort.
Heel counter: Helps keep the foot stable and provides a more comfortable stride.
Vegan Friendly: Asics haven’t used any materials of animal origin in the design and material selection stages, including the yarns, glues or other adhesives applied in the product. *The product is not certified as vegan by an independent third party.
Designed with the environment in mind: The shoe’s foam is bio-based, and the mesh upper is made from 100% recycled polyester. They've also used less water and carbon emissions to produce the shoe’s sockliner. Better for you, better for the environment.
